If you are looking for a restaurant in Tuscany where you can taste traditional Tuscan recipes, Osteria Cantagallo, located in Capraia e Limite, near Florence, is the right place for you.
The typical Tuscan food specialties are revised by our creative Chef and they are prepared with local ingredients in season, produced by qualified farms. Tuscan wines, olive oil, vegetables in oil, sauces and jams are all produced by the farms Tenuta Cantagallo e Le Farnete. Upon request, the restaurant can prepare vegetarian menus and gluten-free menus.
In the restaurant you will find a friendly staff and a warm atmosphere, thanks to the oven and big fireplace made of stones and fire bricks, always lit in autumn and winter. The rustic furniture and the raftered ceiling reflect the typical Tuscan style decor. Wide windows and arch doors give onto a panoramic valley and the garden where your children can have fun in the playground.
The wide salon, with big spaced out tables, can be the perfect location for your wedding in Tuscany, or birthday parties and business parties.

Which dishes of the Osteria are not to be missed? You absolutely have to try our pasta fresca (homemade pasta) and our Granpiatto dell’Osteria, a generous starter with Tuscan salami and sliced hams, bruschette (toasted bread drenched in olive oil) with vegetable pâté and a selection of vegetables and cheese in olive oil produced in our farm. The most appreciated dishes are Gnocchi fatti in casa (Homemade gnocchi) with baked tomatoes and pecorino d.o.p (ewe’s milk cheese) as well as Tortelli di ricotta e spinaci (pasta parcels stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach) with ragù di chianina (sauce made with Tuscan beef meat). Among the second courses we recommend the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina and the typical Tagliata di manzo (sliced beef steak) with sautéed vegetables. Finally, the menu includes tempting desserts like mattonella al cioccolato (a delicious gluten-free chocolate dessert) and crostata di frolla con marmellata di uva (shortcrust pastry tart with grape jam).
